Kim Dickens
Kimberly Jan Dickens (born June 18th, 1965) is an American actress from the United States. Her first film was Palookaville, a comedy film that she made in 1995. Dickens starred in the lead roles of Truth or Consequences (1997), Zero Effect (1998) and Mercury Rising (1998). Other films she has appeared in include Great Expectations (1998), Hollow Man (2000), House of Sand and Fog (2003), Thank You for Smoking (2005), The Blind Side (2009), Gone Girl (2014), Miss Peregrine's House for Peculiar Children (2016), Lizzie (2018), Land (2021) and The Good Nurse (2022).Dickens was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Pam (Clark) Howell and Justin Dickens, a country-western singer. She graduated from the city's Lee High School and attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts in communications. Dickens then relocated to New York City, where she was a waitress, to continue her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and then was a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.supporting parts in the made-for-television films Voice from the Grave and Two Mothers for Zachary. Dickens was back on screen in 1997. She played the lead role of the female protagonist alongside Vincent Gallo in Truth or Consequences N.M.
